Lochnagar
The Cairngorm plateau is very different from the hills to the west. More rounded in general shape they require a slightly different thought process when considering composition.
This is a subtle shot of the corrie at the wonderful Lochnagar. The wider landform just visible in the distance to suggest the wider landscape, the lochan and steep corrie wall are the undoubted focus for the image. It's a fair walk to the top with a bag of kit and the round trip was some 7 hours by the time I had played around taking photos and eaten my lunch at the summit.
