Birch Woodland
Overcast conditions allowed for low contrast levels, which can be very advantageous when shooting in woodlands. Bracken, whilst invasive, can add beautiful tones and textures to an image, particularly in autumn.
For this shot I wandered around a small area of woodland for some two hours to identify the composition I was looking for. I concentrated on avoiding any sky in the image which would have affected the overal impression I was trying to create. I waited for the wind to cease to allow for the large depth of field required to keep the various elements of the image in focus.
