Strathmashie I

This was a day when I walked for hours before I found any form of photographic "zone". I seemed to be somewhere else entirely and walked right by this entire series of shots, seeing nothing. I carried on walking and tried to find an alternative way back through the trees in an attempt to avoid returning via the same route. An hour and a half later I gave up and grudging began to retrace my footsteps.

Suddenly my eyes seemed to open and the lichen was literally dripping from the trees as I wandered down the glen, reminding me of travels in Chilean Patagonia many years before.
