Durness Driftwood

The wander along Durness beach had not been a great success photographically but as I was returning to the camper I suddenly noticed the hull remains of an old beached vessel protruding from the sands like the ribs of a whale. The weathered hull had the most amazingly rich orange colour to it and I was intoxicated by the shapes and reflections coming from this small piece. It took about 4 hours to find the spot and a further hour to capture this image.
